Real recognition and appreciation of women’s business success do not yet fully align with their excellent results, which we see as an important task of the Top Women Business Montenegro initiative, said Ljiljana Burzan-Nikolić, Executive Director of BI Communication and initiator of the TWBM project, at the TWBM Award ceremony where were presented the best Montenegrin companies managed or owned by women, as part of the Top Women Business Montenegro 2023 recognition. Burzan-Nikolić is proud that the initiative actively and persistently contributes to positive changes in empowering, expanding, and enhancing the visibility of women’s business potential.
“We acknowledge the most successful representatives of the Montenegrin women’s business network. By ‘most successful’, we mean those with achieved results that we have measured and want to highlight. Measuring results is a crucial aspect in the business world. It allows us to clearly see where we are now, where we are going, and what we can improve. But when it comes to women’s business, measuring results has a broader significance. Promoting the business achievements of women with credibility is essential. They are role models who demonstrate that society relies on those who nurture true values, ethics, and dedicated work, making it very important for us to speak loudly about them”, she emphasized.
Ivana Bošković, Director of the Retail Banking Sector at NLB Bank, stated that the Top Women Business Montenegro initiative is evidence that female entrepreneurship is rapidly developing, with women becoming more daring in creating their visions, relying on their strengths and abilities.
“We are pleased to be the general sponsor of such a project for the second consecutive year because this is our way of contributing to the region in which we operate, as well as to women’s entrepreneurship in Montenegro. More and more companies are founded by women. Not only do they establish them, but they also lead them. We will award recognition to the best Montenegrin women-led companies and, hopefully, encourage and empower all women to follow their beliefs and start businesses that will strengthen and motivate them to be even better,” Bošković added.
