Certificates Awarded for the Women’s Trademark With the Support of the Capital City
As part of the Women’s Trademark initiative, certificates were awarded to enterprises that met the criteria for obtaining this certification, continuing the process of systematic and measurable support for the development of women’s entrepreneurship in Montenegro.
The ceremony was held at Kuslev’s House, with the support of the Capital City of Podgorica, based on a donation previously secured to strengthen the visibility and validation of women-led businesses.
Certificates of the Women’s Trademark were awarded by Nađa Ljiljanić, Deputy Mayor of Podgorica; Ljiljana Burzan Nikolić, Executive Director of BI Communication and founder of the Top Women Business Montenegro initiative; Danijela Radeč, Secretary of the Secretariat for Entrepreneurship and Investments; and Marija Šuković, Head of the Secretariat of the Council for Competitiveness.
Addressing the audience, Nađa Ljiljanić emphasized that the joint goal of the partners was to provide women entrepreneurs with concrete and visible support that goes beyond symbolic gestures and contributes to the real development of their business activities.
“Through this cooperation, support has been secured for 50 women, in the form of the Women’s Trademark certificate — a clear message that women’s entrepreneurship has strength, value, and significant potential for growth,” Ljiljanić stated.
Ljiljana Burzan Nikolić also addressed the certificate holders, highlighting that the initiative does not have a symbolic but a clear developmental and verification role.
“The Women’s Trademark is not a symbol of goodwill, but a confirmation of the authenticity of women-led businesses. It is awarded based on clear criteria aligned with the internationally accepted IWA 34 definition, and therefore carries weight — both for those who hold it and for those who support it. Awarding 50 certificates with the support of the Capital City sends a strong message that the local institutional framework represents a stable foundation for the development of women-led businesses.”
The Women’s Trademark projectwas launched less than two years ago with the goal of recognizing and supporting authentic women-led enterprises in Montenegro. It is implemented by BI Communication, in cooperation with BI Consulting, with institutional partnership from the Secretariat of the Council for Competitiveness, as well as in collaboration with institutions, local governments, and the business community.
